How would you say it...?

I would like to hear how would you translate the first three lines of the first Canto of Dante's "The Divine Comedy", just for fun. Try to do it first without looking at my and other famous writers translations.(Joke). If you prefer you can write an anecdote of a time when you felt just like Dante did.

Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita
mi ritrovai per una selva oscura,
ché la diritta via era smarrita

In the midst of our life's journey,
I found myself wandering in a dark forest
where the straight road was lost ( Kelly Mellars)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the middle of our life's walk
I found myself in a dark wood
for the straight road was lost
(John D. Sinclair)

In the middle of the journey of our life
I came to myself within a dark wood
where the straight way was lost.
(John D. Sinclair)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Midway in the course of our life
I found myself within a dark wood,
where the right way was lost.
(Rev. H.F. Tozer)

Midway upon the journey of our life
I found myself within a forest dark,
For the straightforward pathway had been lost.
(Henry Longfellow)
